“We need to do something for this family.” The “Madison County Fire Rescue House” incredible story begins with that statement and this tragedy, December 31, 2008, domestic fire in Anderson, Indiana claiming the lives of two little girls and leaving the family with nothing. Even in the midst of this sad situation, a community comes together and this was precisely the spirit in which this project was born.

Fast forward to August 21, 2010 through a donation in memory of their son, Eric. Frank and Connie Caldwell with the support of a "can-do" small community, Alexandria, Indiana, dedicated the "Eric Caldwell Fire Rescue House" which becomes the second house in Madison County for fire victims..
